Eductors
The Reef Scientific range of Eductors are nozzles for use in the reef aquarium. They increase the flow rate of a given pump by a factor of 4 with no extra energy costs, through the use of a venturi effect. The Eductor also modifies the pattern of water flow, spreading the flow making it more suited to reef organisms. They can be employed to give a more coral friendly water flow or to keep detritus in suspension enabling it to be more easily dealt with by mechanical filtration.
An Eductor can be used directly attached to a pump in the aquarium or as a nozzle used in conjunction with a plumbed in system.

Phosphate Remover
Midland Reefs Phosphate Remover is a dry, iron- based media used for the absorption of phosphate from aquarium water. Phosphates are removed from the water and locked up by the media. The media can be used in both saltwater and freshwater applications.
The Phosphate Remover is pelletised, so contains far fewer fines than other granular media, reducing the need for rinsing prior to use and giving you more usable media for your money.
Available in four sizes - 125g, 250g, 500g and 2.5kg.

Zoo-mix
Our Optimal Nutrition Live Zooplankton is intended as starter culture for reef aquarium use. It can be cultured outside of the aquarium or used to seed a refugium and is a mix of Brachionus plicatilis (Rotifers) and Tigriopsis Japonicus (Copepods). It is a nutritious plankton feed suitable for many small polyped stony corals, large polyped stony corals, anemones, larval animals, and other reef carnivores such as Mandarin fishes.
This is a live product containing no artificial preservatives or additives, available in 250 ml size.

Ozoniser
This high specification Ozoniser, RSO3-100, uses cold plate discharge technology. The output is between 0 and 100 mg (comparable in output to that of a 200mg corona discharge unit when used without an expensive air dryer).
The Reef Scientific Ozoniser features a built in 365 day digital timer so that it can be run for timed periods over the course of the day.
With no transformer to cause problems, this very versatile product can be run on mains power all over the world as it will operate from 85 – 260 volts AC 50 – 60 Hz. As well as units with UK plugs we have units with European plugs available. US and other countries will follow in due course.

RS Carbon
RS Carbon is an ultra high performance activated carbon with an exceptional surface area of 1050m2/g, owing to the 0.9mm diameter pellet size. This carbon is ideally suited to being fluidised, given its exceedingly high hardness number.
A very low dust, NO phosphate carbon, with class leading characteristics at an affordable price.
Available in three sizes - 200g, 400g, and 2.2kg.

Reef Gel
Reef Gel comes in 2 sizes: 20g for hobbyists and 50g for professional use. A neat touch is that it comes with a non-clog application tip.This helps prevent your bottle of adhesive from becoming contaminated (the usual problem for users of superglue is that the tube gets contaminated and sets solid, so you have to chuck the whole thing!), replacement tips are available if required.

RS Reactor Mix
RS Reactor Mix is a high performance multi-purpose chemical filtration media for aquarium use. This media removes dissolved organic carbon (DOC), phosphates, silicates, and other waste by products. It was originally formulated for use with the Magnavore Simplicity UV Reactor but it was soon realised that this is the ideal chemical filtration media for those with smaller aquariums, such as nano reefs, where there isn't room to accommodate multiple types of chemical filter media i.e. phosphate remover and carbon. A 400gm pot of RS Reactor Mix represents one full load for the Magnavore Simplicity UV Reactor.
